A Monday for me
This is my first post on this blog and I’d like to talk about what is a Monday for me.
The Monday is my only ‘day off’ and I always try to get at least one or two hours for myself, whether it’s going out and about browsing in the shops, have a coffee and a chat with friends or, what I love most, going for long walks.
I do love brisk walking so much, it makes me feel really good, it makes me feel relaxed, even when my heart rate is speeding. When I walk I think a lot, it’s my meditation time. Just after dropping the children to school, off I go and sometimes I manage to drag one of my friends with me too! I always try to walk at least between 7 and 10k. It does give me lots of energy.
I do love walking in the winter, in cold and icy mornings. When everything is frosted and the sun is shining it’s even better! It’s cold, my nose gets red, I can barely move the tips of my fingers, but I feel good. I look around and what a scenery… the woods, the fields, the animals, the colours, the sun slowly defrosting everything. Beautiful, everything it’s just so amazing!
I am lucky really, I live in a very pretty place… how could I not love my walks?
