Switch off in Tuscany
When in real life you spend the majority of your time working nearly 7 days a week, it’s very easy to forget how important it is to make time for yourself and your family.
The beginning of this year has been very tough due to family reasons, then at the end of March the busiest season of my job started. In July the anxiety and depression knocked on my door. Thankfully the month of August arrived and saved me!
I took three weeks off from work and I’m really proud of myself for being able to do it. I really did manage to switch off!
I went back to Tuscany with my family. It was quite a relaxed and chilled holiday. We spent most of the time at our family farm Podere Celsina in Barberino di Mugello, having nice walks and admiring the countryside - this place never ceases to amaze me - playing card games, running with the dogs, having water bomb fights and helping with the farm jobs! The children went fishing with their dad a few times and we also got to visit Florence a couple of times which is an absolute must for me.
You might be wondering why I decided to move to England 7 years ago, leaving behind such a beautiful country?!
Some of you know my story but most of you don’t and is very long, so I won’t bother you with that! Lol! But I can reassure you that I don’t regret this decision.
Our yearly visit to Tuscany is something we try to aim for every year. It is a must and when we’re there we enjoy it to the extreme. But like anything reality sets back in when home, school, work etc... It can’t always be ‘holiday mode’ let's be realistic!
I’m so blessed that we all had an amazing time away. It is a must for us that we spend quality time together and make magical memories!
This is a little intro for you all to my holiday in Tuscany! More posts will follow! Stay tuned! :-)
